Seeking a Payroll Processor for a 5-6 month contract with the largest B-Corporation in the world!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Payroll Processor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process bi-weekly and weekly payroll 
Verify managers / local HR representatives approve and sign off on time cards
Validate employee change request are completed correctly
Make updates to the payroll system
Load hours from time & attendance system to payroll system
Audit and balance payroll
Process manual checks
Process wage attachments and garnishments
Process calculation for overtime premium
Record wages for W2 purposes 
Process Taxable Fringe Benefits
Process Third Party Sick Pay
Provide SOX audit support
Process year-end-assisting in the review and distribution of employee W2
Assist during the mid-year and year-end tax process
Address employee questions concerning pay and/or payroll deductions
Provide support to HR Shared Services team on various projects
Demonstrate knowledge of all pay policies including various union agreements to manage all error identification and resolution related to payroll and time keeping system
Other duties as assigned by manager

Education and Experience:
High school diploma required.  College education a plus.
At least 2 years of payroll administration and high-volume payroll processing experience required
Strong working understanding of payroll concepts and payroll accounting required
Prior experience supporting union and manufacturing payrolls strongly preferred 
KRONOS, Workday, Ceridian, and/or time and attendance systems experience preferred
Payroll system implementation project experience helpful

Ability to handle, produce and maintain confidential information
Ability to accurately interpret and apply policies, procedures and laws related to payroll activities
Proven ability to work within tight deadlines as well as successfully prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent data entry skills 
Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and manage new systems
Strong basic math skills
Impeccable customer service and communication skills with the ability to understand, prioritize, diagnose and resolve issues timely
Ability to collaborate with peers to identify process improvements
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word
