We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic Technical Product Owner to join our growing team in Plano, TX. This position is responsible for driving and maximizing the value of our products. The right candidate will have a solid grasp on Microsoft Security stack, such as Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, Azure Advanced Threat Protection, and Azure Sentinel. In addition, the candidate should have project management and technical capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. What would you be doing?

  • Be the subject matter expert in Microsoft Security suite and lead the technical integration efforts. This includes setting up sandbox environments, performing data analysis to drive product decisions, and assisting product, engineering, and development for all issues related to the suite
  • Stay up to date on the email portfolio and providing updates to leadership on any changes/updates that might impact the platform
  • Find areas that can be automated, such as provisioning, alert generation, detection rule creations, etc.
  • Perform prioritization to oversee the grooming of issues for development
  • Help product leads in forecasting the roadmap, and influence the direction of the product

What will you bring?

  • At least 1 year of experience in a highly technical role using Microsoft Security suite, such as Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, Azure Advanced Threat Protection, and Azure Sentinel
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Demonstrate strong user empathy while possessing the ability to identify the right problems to solve
  • Experience working with Software Engineers
  • Strong bias to action with the ability to execute independently
  • Proven track record of juggling multiple responsibilities, scoping projects, and evaluating priorities
  • Knowledge of reading and working with code (python in Git), APIs, and web technologies

What are some things that would be nice to have?

  • Some experience in a product role (product design, product management, product ownership, or product analysis)
  • Experience or knowledge of development methodologies/frameworks (Scrum, Agile, Kanban)
  • Basic or advanced scripting abilities with the willingness to learn
  • Experience in Information Security
  • Experience working with Zenhub, Jira, Asana, Github or other Product Management tools
