Need a Civil Engineer with Water and/ or Wastewater design experience using WaterCAD or SewerCAD- can be a little more flexible on the software used.
Can offer relo for good candidate
Must be PE
Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
7-10 years' experience preferably in a consulting engineering environment in water, wastewater or municipal design and planning.
Professional Engineer license (Texas)
Previous experience WaterCAD, SewerCAD or similar software
Previous experience with databases and ArcGIS is preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtime
Ability to communicate and meet with various Water Boards, City Councils and Public Works staff.
Project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, water and wastewater master planning, prepare capital improvement plans, impact fee studies, system evaluation, rehabilitation and expansion. Perform design calculations, equipment sizing / selection, preparation of construction documents, construction management, etc. Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation and assessment for utility infrastructure projects. Create and run electronic hydraulic models for water and sewer systems, including static and extended period simulations as needed.
Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects for municipalities and utility districts for:
Water treatment plants, pump stations, transmission and distribution pipelines, storage tanks, water wells.
Sanitary sewer collection systems, lift stations, small wastewater treatment facilities.
Develop and manage project schedules, support, track and manage all financial aspects of projects.
Develop proposals and presentations.
Manage outside sub-consultants
Coordinate with regulatory agencies (TCEQ, TxDOT, etc.)
Field work and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel.
